I was happy with the photos that I took at the event. The leader, Alice, encouraged us to try a range of techniques and portrait styles. She also encouraged us to ask passers-by if they would pause for a moment to pose for a shot. I also got a few good shots of myself, which is always great for someone who is often behind the camera.

well having lived in ealing for over 20 years and seen the area of the church change slowly but surely , I know its hard to hold back the hands of time , but I cant help but think that we are destroying the character of old ealing. the uxbridge road used to be the oxbridge track that farmers used to use to bring their cattle to market, to be sold in London and dotted along the way were churches that signified the dioses that they would pass through and sometimes pay a toll. a church further do

Taken on a family day out. A friendly mallard was only too pleased to pose. I got down as low as possible to get the shot then struggled to unfold myself to get back up, lol. My trousers were soaked from the wet ground. How I suffer to take a snap?.. It had been chucking it down, then the mid morning sun broke through the clouds. It was taken on my Sony bridge camera at very close range. I only just got him in frame. I took three snaps and this was the only one that didn't cut off the top of his

Summer is here and the flowers in the garden have started to wilt. What I love about macro photography is it gives people a glimpse into the beauty of nature, and in this instance I call this photo "Beauty in Decay". We tend to gloss over anything that isn't near-perfect, or what isn't commonly accepted, but taking a moment to observe and see the various signs of the flower in Decay, one realises that this flower is still a beautiful thing. Beauty, is indeed in the eye of the beholder.

It was nothing but grey skies and rain for days on end, but I decided that you don't always need epic sunsets for great photos. The dull weather also allowed me to get a 20 second exposure with an ND1000 filter giving that classic wispy water look. A wide angle lens allowed me to get nice and close and emphasize the subject, being that close also meant there was some close calls with the occasional freak wave coming up to where I had my tripod and me running back up the beach to escape them

As if Mother Nature decided that the colours were not enough and returned with these extraordinary after colours!I was a bit wavering that afternoon looking at those thick clouds building up but then a gap in those clouds made for a colour burst producing a sunset that has by far been one of the best in this year I have seen!
